Dealflow overview
Understand how Dealflow organizes opportunities into a configurable pipeline and records investment decisions.
Dealflow is the organization workspace for adding investment opportunities, moving them through a pipeline, and recording won, lost, or passed decisions.
Deals workspace
The Deals browser supports table and Kanban layouts. Use Search deals… for the current browser population or Search deals with AI… to search by meaning across available profiles, facts, and documents.
A deal records its Name, Stage, Source, Owner, optional Contact person, and optional Fund or manager. Its detail page separates work into Overview, Intelligence, Documents, Notes, Tasks, and Activity.
These tabs can contain confidential diligence material. Public documentation and screenshots must use synthetic deals and must not expose documents, notes, contact details, or intelligence derived from customer data.
Default pipeline
The first Dealflow visit creates one organization pipeline when none exists. Its default stages are:
- New — active
- Screening — active
- Diligence — active
- Won — won
- Passed — passed
An administrator can rename, recolor, reorder, add, or delete stages under Pipeline settings. Each stage has one semantic Kind: Active, Won, Lost, or Passed.
Moving deals
Organization members with deal-management access can change a deal’s Stage from its detail page or drag a card between stages in Kanban. A card move is written to the server, checked against the current organization and source stage, and then reloaded from authoritative state. A stale, forbidden, or invalid move is rejected instead of being treated as saved.
Changing a stage records history. Use the dedicated Pass flow when passing a deal because it requires a reason, supports an optional revisit date, and can optionally send the configured decline email.
Personal browser state
For a signed-in user, Dealflow persists browser layout, visible fields, table widths, Kanban card fields, and the Show empty fields on card? preference. Search, filters, and sort can also be represented in the route, so a shared or bookmarked URL may open with different query state than a bare Dealflow URL.
Access boundary
Dealflow is available only when the dealflow_service rollout is enabled for the organization or signed-in user. An authenticated organization member can view and manage deals. Organization admins additionally manage pipeline stages and Decision emails.
