Complete two-factor authentication
Finish an Infra One sign-in with a current authenticator code or an unused backup code.
Use the second-factor challenge to finish signing in after Infra One accepts the account’s first credential.
Before you begin
Have the authenticator configured for this account or one unused backup code. A current authenticator code contains six digits; an Infra One backup code contains eight characters.
Steps
- On Two-factor authentication, find the Code field.
- Enter the current six-digit code from the authenticator. If the authenticator is unavailable, enter one unused backup code instead.
- Select Keep me logged in for 60 days only on a trusted device.
- Select Verify code and sign in.
- If you used a backup code, read the message showing how many remain.
Each backup code works once. Infra One marks it used when the challenge succeeds.
This challenge checkbox is the final choice for the 60-day web remember cookie after email/password, social-provider, or passwordless sign-in. It does not control the separate 30-day shared sign-in cookie. Sign out ends the current web session and clears the shared sign-in cookies; see the authentication lifecycle reference when stored site data must also be removed.
Success check
The challenge closes and Infra One returns to the preserved destination or the account home page. The pending two-factor state is cleared.
Troubleshooting
- Invalid two-factor authentication code means the code was not accepted. Wait for a fresh authenticator code and check the device clock.
- If a backup code fails, use a different unused code and preserve the remaining set.
- Select Sign out to abandon the pending challenge and return to sign-in with another account.
- After using a backup code, open Settings → Two-factor authentication, enter the current password, and select Change. Open View backup codes, then use Regenerate backup codes if you need a replacement set. Regeneration invalidates every old backup code.
- If neither the authenticator nor an unused backup code is available, the challenge has no self-service bypass. Contact Infra One support without sharing old codes or account credentials.
