Profiles overview
Understand organization-scoped company, person, and fund profiles, their access model, and the workflows available in Profiles.
Profiles is the organization workspace for structured company, person, and fund records. It combines searchable lists with profile detail, controlled collaboration, enrichment, exports, and organization-specific taxonomy.
The three record areas are separate:
| Area | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Company profiles | Company identity, classification, links, locations, industries, and organization-defined fields. |
| Person profiles | People, roles, contact details, themes, and professional context. |
| Fund profiles | Fund identity, strategy, geography, themes, and fund intelligence. |
Profiles are scoped to one organization. Organization membership opens the lists and creation routes, but profile-level collaborator access controls which record details a non-admin can open.
How access fits together
An organization member can browse and search the organization’s profile lists. Opening a profile requires one of its Viewer, Editor, or Full access collaborator roles. Organization administrators and global administrators bypass that profile-level check.
The creator of a profile becomes a Full access collaborator. Full-access collaborators can use the dedicated edit and Manage access pages. Company-profile editors can also update supported fields inline from the company list. See Profile permissions and states for the current enforcement details.
Organization administration
Organization administrators also see:
- Profile reviews for pending, approved, and rejected reviews;
- Signal triage for captured social signals;
- Taxonomy for organization-specific classification;
- Custom fields for additional profile data; and
- Relationships for relationship definitions.
These are configuration and review surfaces, not additional profile types.
Profile lifecycle
Profile records use Draft, Published, Archived, and Discarded states. A state describes the record lifecycle; it does not replace collaborator authorization. A published profile can still require collaborator access.
