Insights overview
Understand how Insights brings periodic reports, portfolio analysis, reporting quality, and extracted news into one organization workspace.
Insights is Infra One’s organization workspace for collecting periodic reports and turning them into portfolio reporting, valuations, look-through analysis, and reusable articles.
What you can do
Insights groups its customer-facing tools into three areas:

Email insights processes a message body separately when it is longer than 50 characters after trimming. A non-inline attachment is eligible only when it is no larger than 25 MiB and uses .pdf, .txt, .md, .xlsx, .xlsm, .pptx, .odt, .ods, or .odp.
Periodic reports may belong to a platform Fund, a Portfolio fund, or a Portfolio company. Their source can be Admin, System, Insights, or Email.
Reporting and analysis
The Periodic reports browser is the main landing page for an organization. It can search by fund or company, filter by source, status, or subject type, and open a report’s documents and extracted insights.
Related reporting pages serve different purposes:
- Valuations records valuation events for a fund or portfolio-fund reporting set.
- Investment report collects portfolio-fund summary, performance, portfolio, and narrative data. Its tabs include Report, Change history, and Sharing.
- Look-through reports follows nested fund holdings and exposes period, source, markup, warning, and row-type filters, plus Export XLSX.
- Completeness audit compares quarterly coverage across funds or portfolio funds and links gaps back to the appropriate reporting work.
Articles and extracted news
A periodic-report PDF can be processed with Extract news items. Processing runs in the background and records a separate extraction with Pending, Processing, Completed, or Failed state. Completed news items can be selected and turned into Insights articles.
The Articles page also supports direct creation. An article can be owned by a company profile or fund and can store a title, source type, publication date, summary, Markdown content, source URL, and related entities.
Access and organization scope
Insights requires a signed-in Infra One account and an organization membership. Opening https://insights.infra.one asks you to choose an organization and then opens its Periodic reports page. Direct organization URLs use https://insights.infra.one/<org-slug>/….
Initial report, email-insight, article, and analysis page loads are scoped to the organization in the URL. Some portfolio and sharing actions add capability checks beyond basic membership. Status correction is currently support-assisted rather than a documented customer procedure; see Insights permissions and states.
