Talent portal permissions and states
Reference applicant authentication, session boundaries, application ownership, draft behavior, and applicant-facing statuses.
Talent portal authorizes an applicant by verified email and application ownership. It does not reuse organization roles from the Infra One platform.
Authentication boundary
- Talent portal has its own applicant session.
- A signed-in platform user is not automatically a signed-in applicant.
- Creating an applicant account does not create organization membership, a contact, or an investment relationship.
- Signing out removes the applicant session while leaving a separate platform session intact.
Verification codes
| Rule | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Format | Six digits |
| Validity | 10 minutes |
| Incorrect-attempt limit | Locked after three incorrect attempts |
| Replacement | A newly requested code replaces the previous code and resets the attempt count |
Successful verification creates an applicant session. A session can remain valid for up to 60 days. Talent portal retains at most 50 valid sessions for one applicant and removes the oldest when that limit is exceeded.
Application ownership
Every applicant page checks the signed-in applicant against the requested application. An applicant can read only their own submitted applications. Knowing another application identifier does not grant access.
Draft and submitted states
One in-progress application can be saved for each applicant and job. The wizard saves progress between steps, but the draft does not appear in Home or Applications until final submission. It can be resumed from the job’s application page only while the job remains Published.
Submission requires:
- one CV;
- First name;
- Last name;
- Country of residence.
The cover letter, city, phone number, LinkedIn URL, start date, and expected compensation are optional. When supplied, the LinkedIn value must be one complete URL beginning with http:// or https://. Talent associates one application record with each applicant and job; after submission, use the existing application instead of starting another one.
Talent portal’s Submitted your application result and the application shown under Applications are the authoritative success state. A receipt email is conditional on the hiring organization’s enabled email template and successful delivery. CV and cover-letter parsing runs as best-effort background enrichment and does not gate submission.
Application-detail status
| Hiring pipeline | Talent portal |
|---|---|
| New | Submitted |
| Screening | In review |
| Interview | In process |
| Offer sent | Offer sent |
| Accepted | Hired |
| Rejected | Rejected |
| Withdrawn | Withdrawn |
| Talent pool | Kept on file |
Other active pipeline states appear as In process on the application detail. Cards on Home and Applications translate New to Submitted, but otherwise use the Hiring pipeline label. Talent portal does not currently provide an applicant withdrawal control; contact the hiring organization if a submitted application should be withdrawn.
File limits
The CV and optional cover letter each accept one PDF, DOC, or DOCX file up to 10 MB.
