Troubleshoot Signals
Resolve Signals route access, mixed dashboard scope, CSV upload, processing, record, and deletion problems.
Start with the organization in the URL, then separate shared dashboard data from organization-scoped dataset data.
Signals does not open
Use https://signals.infra.one/<org-slug> or enter through the app switcher with an organization selected. The bare host has no Signals dashboard route.
If the page reports You are not authorized to access this page, confirm that the active account has a membership in the organization named by the URL.
Dashboard values seem inconsistent
This can be expected because the page combines scopes:
- Total unique funds, Geographic regions, and Fund records overview use the shared master-fund view;
- Total capital tracked, Recent filings, and Top strategies by capital use only the current organization’s datasets.
Do not interpret the shared fund count as the number of funds uploaded by the selected organization.
A CSV cannot be submitted
Confirm that the file ends in .csv, is no larger than 50 MB, and remains in the dropzone. Choose the matching Data source before selecting Upload and process.
The UI reports No file was uploaded when the dropzone has no consumable file and Select a data source before uploading when the source is blank.
Processing does not complete
Pending means the dataset record exists but processing has not started. It normally awaits background processing, but a prolonged Pending state needs investigation through an approved support channel. Processing means the background worker started parsing it. Do not upload the same file again while its state is changing.
For Failed, keep the source file and selected source together for diagnosis. A CSV for one provider may not match another provider’s parser even when the column names look similar.
Records are missing or totals are zero
Open the dataset detail and compare Total records, Processed records, and Failed records. Then clear search and filters in its Fund records overview.
Total capital tracked and Top strategies by capital require fund-size values. At the current revision, Preqin is the source that populates fund sizes, stored as USD millions.
A dataset cannot be opened
Dataset not found means the record is missing or does not belong to the organization in the URL. Return to Datasets and open it from the organization-scoped list.
A dataset was deleted
Delete removes the dataset and its associated fund records permanently; the Signals UI has no restore action. Stop before uploading a replacement until the organization’s data owner confirms the source, retention requirement, and intended recovery.
Social signal events are absent
The Signals browser dashboard displays fund datasets, not profile social-event ingestion. A signals:write API submission does not create a row in Datasets or Fund records overview. Check the separate Profiles signal workflow and integration contract instead.
