How-toMeet

Discover and contact people in Meet

Search and filter completed profiles, start a Messenger contact request, and report a profile when needed.

These workflows find a completed Meet profile, start or reopen its Messenger relationship, and submit a profile report without promising a scheduling flow that Meet does not provide.

Before you begin

You need a signed-in account with a completed Meet profile. Meet is account-scoped, so no organization membership or role is required.

Contact requests create durable Messenger state and enqueue a push attempt for the other account. Delivery is not guaranteed. Submit one only when you intend to contact that person. A profile report creates a durable moderation record; use it only for a genuine safety or content concern.

Find a profile

  1. Open https://meet.infra.one/.
  2. Review Top picks for you, Meet LPs, Meet GPs, and, when populated, From your industry.
  3. To search by name, select the search control and enter part or all of a name in Search by name…. Name matching is a case-insensitive substring search.
  4. To narrow the directory, select Add filter and choose Investor type, Industry, Asset class, Investment focus, Strategies, LP type, Profession, Geography, or Event.
  5. Combine filters as needed. Investor type supports Is and Is not. Interest, industry, LP-type, and profession filters match any selected value within that field; Geography uses a contains match. Different filter fields combine as AND. The Event filter keeps completed profiles with accepted attendance for the selected published Event, whose choice is labeled Event title - Organization name.
  6. Select See all to expand one section, or View profile to open a person’s profile panel.
  7. Review the displayed name, avatar, job title, location, shared and other interests, bio, and any Attended Event labels that are present.

The card and profile panel do not currently display the saved company, LinkedIn URL, profession, investor type, or industry focus directly. Do not infer that those saved setup fields are visible there merely because they affect filters or sections.

Discovery success check

The profile panel opens without clearing the active search or filters. Shared interests contains selections present on both profiles; Other interests contains selections present only on the opened profile.

If every section is empty after a search or filter, Meet reports No profiles match your filters. Try adjusting or removing some filters.

Request contact and continue in Messenger

  1. Open an eligible profile in Meet.
  2. Select Request to contact.
  3. Meet creates a pending direct chat, enqueues a deduplicated asynchronous contact-request push attempt for the other account, broadcasts the room update, and immediately redirects you to that chat on Messenger. This does not create a message or guarantee push delivery.
  4. While the request is pending, the requester can write in the Messenger room. The receiver cannot write until accepting the request.
  5. Return to Meet when you need to check the relationship state. Waiting for acceptance means the direct chat is still pending.
  6. After the recipient accepts in Messenger, select Send message in the Meet profile panel or use the chat icon on the profile card to reopen the direct chat.

If a previously rejected relationship is requested again, the existing direct chat returns to pending rather than creating a second relationship. An already pending or accepted relationship is not duplicated.

Contact success check

Messenger opens a direct-chat URL after a new request. In Meet, the profile changes from Request to contact to Waiting for acceptance. After acceptance, it changes to Send message.

Report a profile

  1. Open the profile panel.
  2. Open the actions menu and select Report profile.
  3. Under Why are you reporting this?, select Spam, Harassment, Hate speech, Inappropriate content, Impersonation, Scam / fraud, or Other.
  4. Optionally enter Additional details (optional).
  5. Select Submit report.

Report success check

Meet closes the modal and reports Submitted the report. The new report starts in Pending, resolves the target account automatically from the opened profile, and remains independent of contact or block state. Submitting a report does not hide or block the profile or change its chat.

Use the Events connection

When an Event enables Meet profiles and its guest-list visibility allows the current viewer to see attendees, the attendee modal can link accepted attendees to completed Meet profiles. A viewer without a completed profile can see a Create profile prompt; a viewer with one can see profile cards. Event guest lists do not show match percentages.

Within Meet, the Event filter selects profiles with accepted attendance for the chosen published Event. A profile panel can also show published Events under Attended. Review the visibility warning in Meet permissions and states before treating that association as shareable.

Events managers can use the default Meet column to see completed profile state and choose Invite to Meet or Send the Meet invite again for eligible registrations. This is an Events administration action, not a Meet workspace permission. The canonical invitation procedure lives in Manage an event.

Troubleshooting

  • If Meet opens setup, complete all three profile steps before using discovery.
  • If a search returns nothing, clear the name query and remove filters one at a time. Blocks and incomplete profiles cannot be restored with a filter.
  • If Request to contact is replaced by Waiting for acceptance, use the existing pending Messenger relationship instead of sending another request.
  • If contact creation fails, check the existing Messenger relationship and block state. Meet reports a generic failure for other contact-request errors.
  • If Submit report says Select a reason, choose one required reason. Additional details remain optional.
  • Meet has no scheduling or joining workflow. Use only the profile, discovery, report, Event, and Messenger actions documented here.
