How-toContacts

Add a contact

Create or select a person or organization record and verify it in the correct Contacts view.

This guide creates one CRM record. At the end, the person appears in All people or the organization appears in All organizations.

Before you begin

You need:

  • access to the intended Infra One organization;
  • the contact’s reviewed name;
  • a valid email address for a person, or the organization’s domain when available;
  • permission to manage contacts.

Search before creating. Contacts detects some existing records and changes the final action to Select contact so the workspace does not receive an avoidable duplicate.

Add a person

  1. Open https://contacts.infra.one/your-organization-slug/people.
  2. Confirm All people is selected.
  3. Select Add contact.
  4. Select Person.
  5. Enter the person’s Name and required Email.
  6. Optionally enter LinkedIn URL.
  7. If an existing result appears, review it and select Select contact. Otherwise, select Create contact.

Add an organization

  1. Select Add contact.
  2. Select Organization.
  3. Enter the organization’s Name.
  4. Optionally enter Domain and LinkedIn URL.
  5. Review any existing result, then select Select contact or Create contact as appropriate.
  6. Open All organizations to find the record.

Review the contact

Select the contact name to open the detail sidebar. Confirm the name, email or domain, and record type. Add affiliations, tasks, groups, and other CRM context only after you have verified that this is the intended record.

Success check

Contacts reports Created NAME for a new record. The person appears under All people or the organization under All organizations, and searching with Search contacts… returns the same single record.

Troubleshooting

If Create contact changes to Select contact, Contacts found an existing match; inspect it rather than forcing a duplicate. If saving fails, Contacts shows Could not save the contact. Confirm the person has an email, the name is not blank, and the email or domain is valid.

For duplicates, archived records, and permission errors, use Troubleshoot Contacts.
