Confirm an account or reset a password

Complete a single-purpose email-link action, recognize its expiry and success state, and recover without exposing the token.

Confirmation and password-reset links authorize one bounded account action. They are not general sign-in links and must not be copied into tickets, chat, or screenshots.

Before you begin

Open the newest Infra One email for the action you requested. Use a private browser session on a device you control. Before entering a password, confirm the browser uses HTTPS and the hostname is exactly venture.infra.one—the part between https:// and the next /.

Confirm a new account

  1. Open the confirmation link within seven days.
  2. On Confirm your account, select Confirm my account.
  3. Wait for the Confirmed the email success message and the sign-in or preserved destination.

Opening the link alone does not confirm the account. Infra One requires the explicit button so automated email scanners cannot consume the action.

If the link is invalid, used, expired, or no longer matches the account’s primary email, Infra One shows Email confirmation link is invalid or it has expired. Open /auth/confirm, enter Email address when requested, and select Resend confirmation instructions. The response remains generic so it does not reveal whether an account exists.

Reset a password

  1. Open https://venture.infra.one/auth/reset-password.
  2. Enter Email address and select Email me a reset link.
  3. Open the newest reset email within one day.
  4. Enter New password and Confirm new password.
  5. Select Reset password.

The request response says If your email is in our system, you will receive instructions to reset your password shortly. A successful reset shows Reset the password and returns to sign-in.

Resetting the password consumes the link and invalidates all existing sessions and account tokens. Sign in again on each device that should retain access.

Success check

For confirmation, the account reaches sign-in or the preserved destination without another confirmation prompt. For password reset, the new password signs in and the old password and reset link no longer work.

Troubleshooting

  • Use only the newest message if you requested the action more than once.
  • Reset password link is invalid or it has expired requires a new reset request.
  • A password must contain 10 through 128 characters, and its confirmation must match.
  • Too many attempts. Try again later. means the reset-request rate limit was reached; wait before trying again.
  • An expired claim-account link may send fresh claim instructions automatically. If it cannot identify the account, use the ordinary password-reset form.
