How-toVenture

Run Venture workflows

Connect and recover fund banking, set up an SPV, add portfolio investments, and invite investors through the vehicle workspace.

These workflows cover recurring GP-side actions in Venture: connect and recover a fund bank account, prepare an SPV, maintain a vehicle portfolio, and start investor onboarding. The banking procedure ends with a finalized connection and an initial transaction sync without exposing provider handoff data.

Before you begin

You need access to the intended organization and vehicle. For a supported connection or reconnection, the Banking tab must be available to your signed-in user. Connecting, reconnecting, or disconnecting a fund bank requires the separate vehicle Banking management grant. A vehicle viewer can open the Banking page and request Sync now for information they may already view, but that does not grant connection management. Creating an SPV requires organization-admin access. Adding investments requires vehicle-management access. Sending invitations requires the separate vehicle invitation permission.

Use reviewed synthetic data in a documentation or training environment. Real investor emails, subscription documents, commitments, and private notes must stay inside their authorized operating context.

For banking, use only an approved fund and the provider’s own authorization screen. Never copy bank credentials, account identifiers, connection handoff material, or provider responses into documentation or support messages.

Connect and recover a fund bank account

This procedure connects one fund from the Venture browser UI, confirms the initial sync, and provides the safe paths for reconnection, manual sync, and disconnection. Banking is a fund workflow; it is not offered for SPVs.

  1. Open the intended fund, then select Banking. The route template is https://venture.infra.one/app/orgs/:org_slug/funds/:id/banking; Venture resolves the organization slug and fund ID for the selected fund.
  2. Confirm the fund name and organization before selecting Connect your bank.
  3. If Connect a bank account opens, select Connect via Plaid or Connect Erste directly. When the provider chooser is not enabled, Connect your bank opens the Plaid handoff directly.
  4. For Connect Erste directly, select a bank under Choose your bank. Use Search banks and its Search by bank or country code prompt if needed. No banks match your search. means the current filter has no result. If the provider option instead says No Erste wallet is provisioned for this fund's management company, do not bypass it.
  5. Complete the provider’s authorization in the window or tab that opens. For the direct Erste flow, keep the Venture page open while it shows Waiting for you to finish authorization at BANK and Open your bank to authorize, complete the steps there, then return to this page. Use Open BANK if the bank tab did not open, or Cancel to stop this attempt.
  6. Return to Venture before the five-minute connection attempt expires. The same signed-in user who started the attempt must finish its finalization; another authorized team member cannot take over that in-progress attempt.
  7. Let Venture finalize the connection and start the initial sync. The page can show Waiting for your bank data… and then Syncing transactions… while this work completes.

The authenticated banking-session API and the provider webhook are implementation boundaries behind this browser procedure. Do not call, replay, or treat either as a customer recovery route. The provider webhook is an inbound provider callback, not a human sign-in or authorization step. The separately governed Banking session and provider-handoff reference owns the machine-facing contract.

Banking success check

Venture reports Connected the bank and opens the fund’s Banking page. A completed first sync shows Account overview, Transactions, and Last updated:. If the connection succeeds without retrievable wire details, Venture instead reports Connected the bank. Wire transfer details could not be retrieved, so check them in the fund settings. The connection is still complete; review the existing fund settings rather than overwriting them from provider data.

Recover, reconnect, or disconnect

  1. If Venture warns that consent will expire, select Reconnect now. If an error or pending connection shows the shorter action, select Reconnect. Complete the provider handoff in the same signed-in Venture browser flow. A direct Erste reconnect creates a new five-minute attempt that the same user must finish. A Plaid reconnect must stay in the same signed-in Venture page and browser flow. Wait for Last updated: to change before considering recovery complete.
  2. For a healthy connection that needs fresh data, select Sync now under Account overview. Started the sync. This may take a moment. confirms that Venture accepted the request; wait for Last updated: to change before judging the result.
  3. To stop future synchronization, select Disconnect under Account overview. In Disconnect BANK?, read the preservation notice and select Disconnect again to confirm.
  4. Confirm that Venture reports Disconnected the bank. Transaction history is preserved, disconnected accounts remain identifiable, and no new transactions sync through that connection.
  5. To use another connection after disconnection, select Connect a bank and complete a fresh provider handoff. A fresh or recovered connection replaces the fund connection in place, so do not expect a second active connection.

If an attempt shows This connection attempt timed out. or We couldn't complete the connection., select Try again to clear the terminal attempt, then start a fresh connection or reconnection from the Banking page. An expired or failed attempt cannot be resumed.

Set up an SPV

  1. Open Venture and select SPVs.
  2. Select Create SPV.
  3. In Step 1, choose the Company or select Add a new company and enter the underlying company details.
  4. Complete the investment terms, then select Continue.
  5. Enter the SPV name, SPV country, SPV currency, and the remaining reviewed parameters across the five steps.
  6. Upload only approved materials such as the SPV pitch deck and Subscription document template.
  7. Select Save for later at any point to preserve a Draft, or select Submit on the final step.

Saved drafts appear in SPVs. A blank draft name is displayed as Untitled SPV. Draft row actions offer Edit and Discard to users who can manage investment vehicles.

SPV success check

A saved draft reopens at /spvs/ID/draft. A submitted SPV leaves the draft workflow, displays the entered name, and reports Created NAME.

Add a portfolio investment

  1. Open the fund or SPV, then select Portfolio.
  2. Resolve every item in Investments can only be added after:.
  3. Select Add investment.
  4. Choose Direct investment for an investment in a company. For a fund vehicle, choose Fund investment when investing in another fund.
  5. Complete the investment form with the approved entity, amount, currency, status, dates, and financing details.
  6. Save or submit the record as offered by the form.

An SPV supports Direct investment only. A fund supports both choices. Draft investments remain editable and can be discarded; non-draft records open in their read-only detail view.

Portfolio success check

The Portfolio browser shows the investment with the expected Entity, Type, Status, Country, and Investment amount. Use Download portfolio only after the vehicle passes its portfolio prerequisites.

Invite investors

  1. Open the fund or SPV and select Fundraising.
  2. Confirm the page shows Investor pipeline and that the vehicle passes every invitation prerequisite.
  3. Select Invite investors.
  4. In Investor emails, search an existing investor or contact, or type the intended address.
  5. Optionally add CC recipients and a Message.
  6. Choose Standard terms to use the fund terms current at commitment time, or enter reviewed custom terms.
  7. Keep internal context in Private notes and Private tags; do not place it in the recipient message.
  8. Review the recipient count, then select Send invite or Send invites.

Each selected address receives its own invitation. If Venture warns that addresses may refer to duplicates, resolve the records in Contacts before sending unless separate invitations are intentional.

Invitation success check

The invitation appears in Investor pipeline. Its detail panel shows Onboarding steps and Communication history. Use Re-send or Remove only after confirming the intended investor and reading the confirmation prompt.

Troubleshooting

If a control is disabled, compare your role and the vehicle state with Venture permissions and states. If a connection expires, fails, or will not sync, follow the exact symptom in Troubleshoot Venture and restart from the browser UI rather than reusing provider handoff data. If an SPV step will not advance, select the step and correct every highlighted field.
