Organize Data room content
Choose the correct library scope, create a folder, upload approved files, and verify the stored result.
This guide prepares approved due-diligence material in the Data rooms content library. At the end, the files are stored in a named team or personal folder and can be selected for a controlled sharing workflow.
Before you begin
You need:
- access to the intended Infra One organization;
- files approved for the intended audience;
- a decision between Team folders and Personal folders;
- filenames that reveal no customer, credential, or private-message data.
Use a team folder for material teammates should operate. Use a personal folder when only the uploader should have library access. Sharing a file later is a separate action.
Create a destination folder
- Open
https://datarooms.infra.one/your-organization-slug/content. - Under Team folders or Personal folders, select the appropriate root or an existing folder.
- Select Add folder.
- Enter the Folder name.
- Select Add folder.
- Open the new folder and confirm its breadcrumb before uploading.
Upload files
- Select Upload content.
- Choose Upload files for individual files or Upload folder to preserve a folder structure.
- Select the approved files from your device.
- Wait for the upload queue to complete.
- If a filename conflicts, choose the offered conflict action only after comparing both files.
Upload files accepts at most 20 entries in one selection. Upload folder accepts at most 100 entries. Both allow up to 250 MB per file and reject unsupported types. Upload and extract ZIP applies additional archive limits and reports any files it could not extract.
Review the result
Confirm each filename, folder, and updated time. Use the file action menu for Upload new version, Edit, or Delete. Prefer Upload new version when replacing the content of the same logical document so its history stays connected.
Success check
Data rooms reports Uploaded the files or the applicable single-file result. The new rows appear under Contents in the intended folder, and a reload preserves the same structure.
Troubleshooting
If Upload content is disabled, select a concrete folder first. File limit exceeded. means the selection exceeds the relevant 20-file or 100-folder-entry limit. The file has an invalid type. or an oversize error means the file does not satisfy the uploader contract.
Use Troubleshoot Data rooms for conflicts, ZIP rejection, or missing folders.
