Connect an agent to Slack
Connect a workspace, assign direct messages and channels to enabled agents, and understand disconnect and deletion behavior.
Connect Slack when an agent should join team conversations or when an Automation should post an agent-generated message to a channel.
Before you begin
You need organization-admin access, at least one enabled agent, and permission in Slack to install or authorize the Infra One app. For an Automation action, the destination channel must be enabled and paired to the same agent selected by that action.
Connect a workspace
- Open the organization on
agents.infra.one. - Find Slack.
- Select Connect Slack workspace.
- Complete Slack’s authorization flow and return to Infra One.
- Confirm the card shows Connected to followed by the workspace name.
The Infra One platform organization uses the existing Ori workspace instead of a generic install. Its card says Ori’s workspace — the connection, channels, guardrails, and app provisioning. Select Manage Slack there.

Assign direct messages
Under Direct messages, choose the enabled agent that should answer DMs sent to the Slack bot. Choose No DM agent… to turn DM handling off without removing the workspace.
Enable a channel
- Invite the Infra One bot to the Slack channel, or create the channel first.
- In the Slack card, choose the Channel.
- Choose the Agent that serves it.
- Select Enable.
- Set the channel mode:
- Mentions for conversational participation;
- Off to retain the pairing without responses.
After pairing, Automations can select that channel only when their Agent field uses the same enabled agent.
Disconnect or delete
Disconnect stops agents participating in the workspace but keeps channel setup and mirrored history. Reconnecting can pick up where it left off.
Delete the Slack integration removes the workspace, every joined channel, and all mirrored conversation. It requires a typed workspace-name challenge and cannot be undone.
Success check
The Slack card shows the connected workspace, the destination channel appears with the intended agent, and a controlled mention produces a response. For Automation use, open a new Automation, choose Agent message, select the agent, and confirm the channel appears in Slack channel.
