How-toRelay

Review a shared Relay Email inbox

Open an assigned organization mailbox, inspect its health and Inbox, and verify one synced thread without sending or changing shared workflow state.

This guide opens one shared Relay Email mailbox and verifies a synced thread. At the end, the mailbox, Inbox view, and message timeline are visible. Opening the thread marks it read for the current administrator and records open and view activity, but the procedure does not archive, assign, label, refresh, compose, or send anything.

Before you begin

You need:

  • a confirmed, signed-in Infra One account;
  • a completed account profile with both first and last name;
  • a current non-guest administrator membership in the organization;
  • at least one active mailbox assigned to that organization;
  • authorization to read the mailbox’s real messages and attachments.

Relay Email is not available to ordinary organization members, guests, or system administrators who are only ordinary members of the selected organization. Do not copy customer messages, addresses, attachments, or identifiers into documentation or support examples.

Review the Inbox

  1. Open https://relay.infra.one/ORG_SLUG/email?view=inbox, replacing ORG_SLUG with the organization’s exact slug. If your account has multiple Relay organizations and you open the root instead, choose the intended workspace under Select an organization.
  2. Open Mailbox and select the intended address. Relay accepts only an active mailbox assigned to the current organization; a mailbox identifier from another organization is not an access path.
  3. Review the mailbox health beside its address. Healthy means no current sync warning is exposed. Degraded, Never synced, or Sync unknown means the list may be stale; do not reply based on an uncertain thread state.
  4. Select Inbox in the Email navigation. The other current views are Sent, Drafts, Failed, Archived, Done, Unread, and With attachments.
  5. To narrow the current list without changing a thread, use Search emails…. The search term applies to the selected mailbox and view.
  6. Select the intended thread. On the connected page load, opening a thread marks it read for the current administrator and records open and view activity. It does not mark it read for another administrator.
  7. Verify the subject, sender, recipients, message timeline, and any Done, Archived, assignee, vehicle, or label tags. Treat all rendered content as private mailbox data.
  8. Review attachment state without opening a file you are not authorized to receive. Available can be viewed or downloaded by an authorized administrator, Blocked failed safety checks, and Pending has not finished syncing.
  9. Review the safe body without changing the workspace’s remote-image policy. When the workspace does not allow remote images, Relay shows Remote images are blocked for this workspace. The message remains readable through sanitized HTML or safe plain text.

Success check

The selected mailbox remains visible, Inbox is the active view, and the thread opens with its stored message timeline. The current administrator’s unread indicator clears for that thread, and Relay records the open and view activity. No shared archive, done, assignment, label, draft, outbox, or provider-sync state changes as part of this procedure.

If the thread does not appear, clear Search emails…, confirm Inbox is selected, and verify the mailbox health. An empty Drafts view does not prove there are no stored drafts; IO-11441 tracks that current limitation.

Troubleshooting

  • If Relay asks you to choose an organization, select the organization that owns the mailbox. Do not substitute an organization slug from an untrusted link.
  • If Relay redirects to account onboarding, complete both first and last name before returning. The onboarding gate runs before Relay organization and channel access.
  • If Email is absent, confirm that you are an organization administrator. An ordinary member can use their own WhatsApp inbox but cannot read Relay Email.
  • If Relay reports No mailbox yet, an administrator must configure and assign an active mailbox outside this guide. Do not create a mailbox only to produce documentation evidence.
  • If Relay reports This mailbox is not available in this Relay workspace., choose one of the accessible mailboxes instead of editing the URL.
  • If the list shows No threads in Inbox, check health and search first. Selecting Refresh triggers a provider synchronization and is outside this read-focused procedure.
  • If a message has No safe message body is available., Relay has no sanitized body it can render. Do not bypass that safety boundary with provider or storage identifiers.
